The NHBF is not only celebrating their spectacular win in the social media category but also, when pitched against dozens of other trade associations, achieving second place in Membership Success of the Year and Publication of the Year categories at last night’s TAF awards.
NHBF chief executive Hilary Hall said:
“I am delighted the achievements of the NHBF have been recognised in such a prestigious way. TAF is the trade association for trade associations and in our industry this is a key place to be recognised.”
“Our social media pages have developed considerably over the past few years, we have lots of conversations with members on these platforms and we hope they find it useful as well as enjoyable and interactive. These awards stand out for us because we are up against such stiff competition from other trade associations. I’d like to thank the NHBF team, our members and salon owners themselves for supporting the work that we do.”
The work of the federation was also celebrated in the Membership Success and Publication of the year categories.
With membership rising, the Federation continues looking for more ways to support salon businesses, from providing a pension scheme so salon owners can meet their obligations to creating an array of expert materials packed with information to help make business decisions. The Publication of the Year was for the NHBF’s ‘Fighting for You’ document which was recognised for the impact it has on our campaigns.
Hilary continued: “These awards acknowledge that the NHBF is making a significant contribution to its members businesses and the hairdressing, barbering and beauty industry overall.”
The awards themselves were held at Shakespeare’s UnderGlobe in London and are in their thirteenth year. They celebrate the achievements of trade associations across the UK and aim to acknowledge excellence and reward achievement and to encourage the adoption of best practice across all trade associations.
