Self-Assessment registration deadline
It's important to note that the deadline for registering with HMRC for self-assessment for the upcoming 2022-2023 tax year is October 5th. If you're a small business owner or new to self-assessment, you can utilise the Government's checking tool to determine if you need to register.

Remote access scams targeting businesses
Small businesses are being targeted by remote access scams, as warned by Action Fraud. The scams involve fraudsters pretending to be a bank or financial service provider that the business uses, in order to obtain sensitive information. The scammer may also try to remotely access the business's computer systems by using malware or downloaded software. If you suspect a scam or need more information, you can contact Action Fraud.
