The National Hairdressers’ Federation is really excited to launch 2015’s photographic competition which showcases talented hairdressers and barbers and inspires creativity within our industry.
As part of this year’s competition, which is open to qualified and trainee hairdressers and barbers, the NHBF is looking for innovative and creative work presented using visually stunning photographic images.
The four categories are split into two sections, one for male models and the other for female models:
• Fashion Look, open to those working towards level 3
• Fashion Look, open to all
• Afro-Caribbean Fashion Look, open to all
• Fashion Collection, where competitors create a collection of images that could be used on the front cover of a magazine, open to all
NHBF president Paul Curry said:
“This year’s competition is guaranteed to be even bigger and better than previous years. Our industry champions vocational training so we want to encourage trainees to enter as well as established stylists. Many professionals dream of having their creations featured in magazines and this is the perfect opportunity to gain some experience.”
The finalists are invited to attend the NHBF’s Britain’s Best event in November where the winners will be announced. The winning image will feature in the NHBF’s SalonFocus magazine. Closing date for entries 12pm on 18 September.
