Changes to the furlough scheme from today, 1 September 2020
From today, 1 September 2020 the government will pay 70% of wages up to a cap of £2,187.50 for the hours your employee is on furlough.
Employers will pay:
- 10% of wages to make up the amount to 80%, up to a cap of £2,500.
- National Insurance and pension contributions for the hours your employee is on furlough.
In October, the government will pay 60% of wages up to a cap of £1,875 for the hours your employee is on furlough.
Employers will pay:
- 20% of wages to make up the amount to 80%, up to a cap of £2,500.
- National Insurance and pension contributions for the hours your employee is on furlough.
