On Sunday 14 October 2018, stylists and barbers from up and down the country came together at Salon International, ExCel London to compete in the NHBF’s renowned floor competition, Britain’s Best. Competitors worked against the clock at the UK’s biggest trade show to create a look that would impress the expert panel of judges.
The five Britain’s Best categories were ‘open to all’ to inspire determined trainees and seasoned pros to put their skills to the test. Each creation was judged and at the end of the day the talented winners and runners-up for each category were announced.
The winners of the NHBF’s 2018 Britain’s Best competition, were:
- Male fashion look - Open to all - Lixon Chaudhury, Studio2 Hair Stylists
- Female fashion look - Open to all - Lauren Soley, Karoliina Saunders Hair Design
- Hair Up - Open to all - Emily Roche, Kimonoa Hair Company
- Total Look - Open to all - Wez Parry, Voodou Liverpool
- Fantasy - Open to all – Luca Spinelli, The Bohemians

NHBF President, Agnes Leonard commented: “The seventh year of Britain’s Best was an exciting one, with the competition being hosted at Salon International for the first time and because each category was open to all levels of experience to enter.
“Britain’s Best continues to be a highlight in the calendars of stylists and barbers and this year did not disappoint - the level of talent from across the UK competing against each other for the top spot was outstanding. The day couldn’t have been more inspiring, so we hope to see even more competitors hit the floor next year.”
