Today, stylists and barbers who have been shortlisted to win the NHBF’s prestigious Photographic Stylist of the Year have been announced. The finalists of the competition will hear who the winners are at the NHBF’s Business Awards hosted at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate on Sunday 4 November 2018. Professionals of all levels were required to enter a show-stopping image suitable for the front cover of a magazine to be in with a chance of winning a Photographic Stylist of the Year category. Non-professional and professional images could be submitted by stylists and barbers to enter the competition which was designed to inspire creativity within the industry.
The categories for the Photographic Stylist of the Year 2018 competition include:
- Male and female fashion Look – open to all (non-professional photography)
- Male and female fashion look - (professional photography)
- Male and female fashion look collection - (professional photography)
NHBF president Agnes Leonard said: “Even though the competition is in its 14th year, the images submitted continue to get better and better. We wanted to make the competition accessible for all to not exclude talented stylists and barbers who might not have had the opportunity to arrange a photo shoot. This meant we had a mixture of both professional and non-professional shots. However, the standard of entries across all categories was outstanding!
“We can’t wait for the winners of the Photographic Stylist of the Year competition to be announced at our Business Awards now that our expert panel of judges have made their selection. It’s going to be a fantastic night!”
