The National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) and the Fellowship for British Hairdressing is excited to announce the finalists for this year’s Christofer Mann Step Up and SHINE Scholarship.
After receiving a huge amount of entries the judges had the difficult task of choosing just six finalists, so huge congratulations go to:
Stacey, Orrow, The Colour Room, Letchworth
Holly, Prior, Silhouette du Barry, Chelmsford
Vicki, Johnson, Vicki Hoskin Hair Artistry, Wadebridge
Anita, Patkos, Farah-Naz Hairdressing, Prestwich
Lewis, Wilson, Wilsons Hairdressing, Macclesfield
Jill, Hendry, Little Bird Hair Design, Woodston, Peterborough
Step Up and SHINE is open to hairdressers of any level experience, age or geographic location. The winner will receive £2,500 to cover tuition fees, travel and overnight expenses.
Entrants needed to complete a short application explaining their hairdressing background, ambitions and submit a 60-second video telling judges why they would love this opportunity, and the standard of entries was impressive
This is an exclusive and unique opportunity for any hairdresser and is overseen by mentor, Debbie G who says, “This is such an exciting initiative. Christofer was a huge supporter of grass-roots hairdressing and believed whole heartedly in the concept of education for all. The Scholarship is open to any stylist or assistant, of any age and any level, anywhere in the UK. No experience is necessary but the drive and enthusiasm to learn is vital.”
The shortlist will now be visited at their salons where the judges will observe them working before making their final choice, which will be announced at the Fellowship President’s Night in April 2020.
