23 October 2014
On Thursday 23rd October the London Hairdressing Apprenticeship Academy celebrated the achievement of its graduating Apprentices from academic year 2013 / 2014 at Wella Studios, London.
The LHAA graduation awards evening was held on Thursday 23rd October to honour the achievements of the LHAA graduate students, each receiving their certificates by the Academy Directors Trevor and Francine Luker. In addition to the main award of certificates there were several specific individual awards voted for by the academy tutors to recognise those students who had gone the extra mile. Located in Mortimer Street, London, the Wella theatre was filled with excited students, a number of the LHAA Ambassadors, salon owners and key stakeholders from across the industry who all took time out to join in on the evening’s celebrations; and of course some of the guests were there to cheer on their own students who were graduating that evening.
During the evening special guest Marco Erbi was on hand with three glamorous models to wow the audience with a suite of wonderful hair-up demonstrations. Marco who is Creative Director and co-ordinates the Patrick Cameron Training School was blown away by the LHAA’s efforts in recognising its young budding hairdressers and most definitely inspired our graduating students to Aspire to Achieve Excellence.
The evening was a testament to the talent of the LHAA students and I am confident that the calibre of students graduating from the LHAA will enable hairdressing and barbering to thrive in Hertfordshire, Essex and London and will provide a great future for these energetic and enthusiastic junior hairdressers and barbers’, said Marco.
Not only did the LHAA enjoy an evening of celebration, the LHAA also celebrated its third birthday. Francine Luker said ‘Three Academies in three years is just the beginning of this journey and we can’t wait to continue our growth and to welcome new aspiring hairdressing and barbers through our doors.'
