Hooker & Young announced as NHBF ambassadors

Multi-award-winning duo, Gary Hooker and Michael Young have been announced as the first joint ambassadors for the NHBF.

The masterminds behind renowned hairdressing brand, Hooker & Young were invited to become ambassadors and lead the way in the role that was created to inspire and motivate our members to build professional and profitable businesses.

The launch of our ambassador role marks a momentous year for the NHBF. Hooker & Young are set to be a big part of our 75^th anniversary celebrations, including our very own national Business Awards this year, with the pair announcing some of the best in the industry at our first ever business awards evening.

Hairdressing superstars: Hooker & Young  

The ten-time British Hairdresser of the Year nominees have gone from strength-to-strength in the 25 years since starting their phenomenal salon business that’s led them to win numerous awards for both creative and business excellence.

Now with five luxurious salons to boast of and a renowned repertoire of beautiful hair imagery, Hooker & Young are set to inspire other salon owners with their business know how, so they too can follow in their footsteps and build successful and profitable businesses. 

Hooker & Young’s NHBF Ambassador role

For Hooker & Young, their role as joint ambassadors will begin on July 1 2017, and will include social media takeovers, so be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. 

The talented stylists will also be supplying information for our members on how to succeed in different areas of business, which will appear on our website and in salonfocus magazine.

Most importantly, the internationally recognised hairdressing icons will be playing a significant role in our exciting 75^th anniversary celebrations by presenting on stage at the Business Awards in November.

We have created many activities for Hooker & Young that are set to inspire other hairdressing professionals in our industry, so watch this space for more from our new ambassadors!

What will be next for the NHBF ambassador role

Whilst the role of NHBF ambassador has begun in the hairdressing sector, we will also be inviting key industry figures from the barbering and beauty sectors to accept our invitation to become honorary ambassadors in the future years that follow.
