The Hairdressers’ Charity, the official charity of the hair industry, announces its new name following a rename and rebrand to Hair and Beauty Charity.
With a heritage dating back to 1853, the charity continues to help industry professionals. The rename will expand the charity’s visibility to incorporate the full spectrum of hair, barbering and beauty industries, which it already assists.
The charity relies on support from corporate sponsors but would love to hear from further hair and beauty brands interested in supporting the charity. The current financial sponsors include L’Oreal Professionnel, Wella Professionals, Salon Services, ghd, Schwarzkopf, Goldwell, A.S.P, BaByliss PRO and NHBF.
"We have always supported those in the beauty and barbering industries and now it helps to clarify our focus.”
Fundraising from hair and beauty professionals is also vital to raise much needed income and to increase the charity’s awareness. There are many ways you can support, including making a regular donation, organising your own fundraiser or signing up to one of a wide variety of annual events on offer - bike ride, golf day, dedicated fundraising weeks, a charity ball, and raffle.
Co-President of Hair & Beauty Charity, Samantha Grocutt from Essence PR comments, “This rebrand is a natural progression for us since we became a nationally recognised charity in 2016. We have always supported those in the beauty and barbering industries and now it helps to clarify our focus.”
Philip Sharp from A.S.P and Co-President of Hair & Beauty Charity continues, “Our mission is to help hair and beauty professionals in need. We offer financial support to individuals and their families facing difficult times due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, bereavement and financial hardship. Our beneficiaries are supported with regular payments or one-off grants to make their lives a little easier.”
