Are you interested in hair, photography and the arts? Are you keen to showcase your skills? Then the NHBF’s new Photographic Stylist of the Year competition could just be for you!
Whatever stage you’re at in your career, the National Hairdressers’ Federation is looking for creative, unique, talented hairdressers and barbers to show off their talents.
The Photographic Stylist of the Year competition has long been a highlight of the hairdressing calendar, and was originally launched as a platform for young hairdressers and barbers with flair and ambition – and a passion for styling and photography – to show the industry what they are made of.
This year, however, the competition is stepping up a level by introducing a new format, including opening its doors to hairdressers and barbers of all ages, qualification or experience. That means anyone can apply!
Entries are now open. But don’t delay! The closing date is 12pm on July 31.
This year’s categories are:
- (Male and Female) Fashion Look
- (Male and Female) Fashion Collection
- (Male and Female) Afro-Caribbean Fashion Look
Full details on how to enter can be found at www.nhf.info/photographic
This year’s competition is being proudly sponsored by leading hair brands Sleek and Revlon Professional. The NHBF will also be supporting the industry’s charity, Hair and Beauty Benevolent Fund (HABB), by making a donation from the event proceeds.
All finalists will be invited to attend the NHBF’s Britain’s Best event on Sunday November 16 at the Heritage Motor Centre, Warwickshire, where the winners will be announced.
NHBF president Paul Curry said:
One of the things that has long set British hairdressing apart is its sheer creativity, flair and inventiveness. The NHBF’s Photographic Stylist of the Year competition is a chance for all hairdressers and barbers to shine, to show off their passion, skill and talent.
Whether you’re in a big city centre salon or a small, local hairdresser or barber, whether you’re just starting out or can bring a lifetime of experience to bear, the NHBF Photographic Stylist of the Year competition is an opportunity not to be missed.”
