Ken West is director of 3·6·5 Hair, a coaching organisation which has been helping salon owners and their teams to run successful and profitable salons since 1982. As an ex salon owner and hairdresser with over 30 years’ experience, Ken has worked with salons of all sizes, from salons with one or two stylists to some of the country’s largest salon groups. He is a regular presenter at trade exhibitions and writes a monthly column in Creative Head magazine.

He is happiest when he is helping people to grow and develop, whether teams or individuals, and is a firm believer in continuous education and evolution. In an industry where the challenges and costs of running a salon are continually increasing it is vital that salons are delivering an amazing client experience whilst exceeding their expectations. At the same time, it is crucial that a salon owner has a full understanding of the business and how it makes a profit and the team, their goals and what truly motivates them.
